Penguins over the Capitals. I would love to see the Capitals win but I think the Penguins paid their dues last year and are set to get back to the finals this year. Fleury is playing some of the best hockey I have seen from him and the experience of last year will help them get through. The capitals are the most exciting team to watch and Ovechkin is the best player I have seen in a long time. I love his enthusiasm and effort he puts in every night! I just don't think that Washington has enough defense and goaltending to beat Pittsburgh!
Boston over Carolina. Once again I would love to see Carolina win, but Boston has been great and I think they are too strong. Paul Maurice is a great story and just shows you he didn't have much to work with in Toronto! Tim Thomas has been great and that will get them through in my opinion.
Vancouver over Chicago. One word, Luongo! Vancouver is not one of my favorite teams as they beat my Dallas Stars out of the playoffs a few years ago, but what can you say. Best goalie in the world in net and better yet he is on top of his game! Love Chicago as they have a few former London Knights, Patrick Kane and Dan Bolland, and they have come from nowhere. They are going to be like the Penguins of last year; just a good taste of the playoffs and next year will be theirs.
Anaheim and Detroit. Great match up here as these are two teams I really don't care for at all! Detroit is the best team year after year and it actually makes me mad! I didn't like the fact that Hossa comes to the Wings on a one year deal to try and get his Cup when he could have taken big deal in Pittsburgh and helped them win. I also have to hear Mike and Jim Weir talk about the Wings all the time and that gets old after a while, especially this year as my Stars have been golfing for the past two weeks! Anaheim had a great series and was very impressive over the Sharks but I don't think they can do it again, just too tough. I take the Wings in 6 as long as they can get any kind of goaltending!
As always, thanks for you support
