What a difference a day makes. Mike has one of his worst rounds ever, and naturally all the fun is sucked out of this forum, or at least most of it.

I'm sure no one will be 'glued to their pc screens' for the weekend rounds, but no doubt there will be the occasional comment for the 'regs', thus this 'weekend thread'.

I would like to see Stricker continue his stellar play, and fend of any idea figjam may have of repeating. Go Steve.

I was definitely looking forward to watching some golf this weekend and following the final two rounds along with my fellow fans on the Board, especially after Mike's first round. Now I don't have much interest in watching the tourney at all. But, like JimC, I'm cheering on Stricker this weekend now. And here's hoping Mike comes out strong next weekend after a bit of rest and fine tuning.

Both Ames and Chopra WD'd - leaving DLIII to play out the last 3 holes all alone. With lots of potential weather delays, I guess Ames didn't have much interest in struggling along at the very bottom of the leaderboard - he was really not in position to challenge for a good finish sitting at +1.

“I don’t play golf for money. I play golf for fun,” Ames said, smiling. “And this is not fun.”

interesting quote by Stephen. I assume the smiling part is implying somewhat hes being sarcastic.

I am not a fan of players WDing in spots like this. If youre injured or whatever, fine, but show some respect to the organizers, fans, and volunteers.

It's obvious that the wind dies down from last night - the drives on 17 and 18 are about 50 yards longer than the later groups yesterday.

Pigpen takes a page from Stricker's playbook - chip-in from the rough on 18 to regain the solo lead.

Cabrera was below the cut line - and showed up this morning. Makes a 19 foot putt on 18 for birdie and squeaks in to weekend play - different attitude....

Would be interesting if Ames missed top 50 for the masters by 0.001 owgr points or something.

+2 is only 4 shots out of a top 25.

Nice to see cabrera come out and birdie the last.

I'd like to see Ishikawa putting in a good result, or even hang around the top 10 all weekend just to see how he holds up - he looked very steady and poised at the PC.
