Toronto, November 14, 2001: The 2002 TELUS Skins Game presented by Ericsson has been awarded to The Mark O'Meara Course at Grandview Golf Club in Huntsville in Ontario's Muskoka region. The highly popular golf exhibition, celebrating its 10th Anniversary in Canada in 2002, will be held June 23 - 25th.

Vijay Singh will be back to defend the title that he won at the 2001 TELUS Skins Game this past July. "My good friend Mark O'Meara has told me great things about the golf course, " said Singh. "When you put together an exceptional course and a high quality field as they have for this event over the years, it doesn't get much better. I'm looking forward to it. "

The Mark O'Meara Course at Grandview Golf Club opened May 31, 2001, in Ontario's scenic Muskoka area, signifying the debut of the 1998 PGA Tour Player of the Year in signature golf course design. The course sprawls across spectacularly rugged terrain and exudes wilderness feel with its diverse stands of trees, elevation changes and granite outcroppings unique to the Canadian Shield region just two hours north of Toronto. The course is adjacent to Delta Grandview Resort in Huntsville.

ClubLink's other courses in Muskoka include The Lake Joseph Club, named Best New Canadian Course by Golf Digest and SCORE Golf Magazine in 1997 and 1998 respectively, and Rocky Crest Golf Club, which opened to rave reviews in early 2000. Both are designed by renowned Canadian architect Tom McBroom, and are notable for their distinctive Canadian Shield rock, scenic vistas and dense woodlands.

"The O'Meara Course will be the latest to join a tremendous legacy of top-rated golf courses that have hosted Skins over the years ", said Michael Merrall, Senior Vice-President, Managing Director of IMG-Canada, the organizers of the event. "The O'Meara Course features scenery that will rival any course in the country and a variety of shots that will challenge the world's best players to be at their best. "

"We are honoured to act as host of the 2002 TELUS Skins Game at The Mark O'Meara Course, which will prove to be an entertaining and challenging venue for this exciting event, " said ClubLink President and CEO Bruce Simmonds. "We are very proud of this new course, which has proven to be a highly successful complement to ClubLink's Lake Joseph and Rocky Crest golf clubs in Muskoka, which has emerged as North America's newest golf destination. "
