Ryan Vallely Top Ranked Junior in Canada for 2001

Vallely's accomplishments this season include wins at the Bank of Montreal Future Links Western Championship and the AJGA / Future Links Junior at Whistler, runner-up at the Alberta Amateur, third at the Alberta Junior and a fourth-place finish at the Canadian Junior Championship.

"Our juniors are competitive at the highest levels of amateur golf across the country. Based on the 2001 Bank of Montreal Future Links Order of Merit I can say with confidence that the future of golf in Canada is very bright indeed."
2001 Canadian Junior Champion James Lepp of Abbotsford, B.C. earned 3445 points for second place. Jeremiah Shields of Ottawa, the reigning Quebec Junior Champion, stands third in the rankings with 2500 points.
The Bank of Montreal Future Links Order of Merit is a ranking system to identify, recognize, and promote Canada's best junior golfers. Points are awarded to the top finishers in prominent junior provincial championships, Future Links Junior Series Championships and the Canadian Junior Championship.
