RCGA Announces Director of Instruction at Golf Learning Centre

"Calgary - The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Horton as the Director of Instruction at the RCGA Golf Learning Centre at Four Seasons. Horton, one of the region's best-known golf instructors, will lead the teaching academy operation at the Calgary facility.

"We are excited that Paul has agreed to lead our team of instructors," said Jack McClellan, RCGA Managing Director of Golf Operations. "He is one of the finest teachers in the Calgary area and I am confident that he will help establish the RCGA Golf Learning Centre at Four Seasons as the premier learning and development centre in Western Canada."

Horton will be joined by an outstanding team of local golf instructors including Clayton Robb and Jay Myren. The RCGA expects to announce additional members of the instruction team in the coming weeks.

The RCGA Golf Learning Centre at Four Seasons will provide a variety of instructional and recreational golf league programs to golfers of all ages and skill levels, attracting more people to the game and enhancing their enjoyment of golf. The Centre is also a Future Links facility and a host site for the RCGA Player Development Program, allowing the RCGA and the Alberta Golf Association to provide accessible and affordable programs for juniors, as well as talent identification and access to top-level coaching for elite players.

The facility is open to the public and offers a 9-hole par 3 course, 18-hole putting course and a driving range with covered and heated hitting stalls that are open throughout the winter. 2002 instruction and golf league programs will be launched March 1.
