Revell, who plays out of the Cataraqui Golf & Country Club in Kingston, led The Toronto Sun sponsored event from start to finish. His 11-under par performance was one shot off the 72-hole tournament scoring record established by J.C. Deacon last year and Matt McQuillan in 1999.
Ricky Allen of North Bay claimed the Juvenile Division (16 & under) title and finished in sole possession of second place at 4-under par. The 16-year-old posted a four under 68 during today's final round.
Revell, Allen, Richard Scott of Kingsville and Nicholas Wheeler of London finished in the top four and as such will represent Ontario at the Junior Inter-Provincial Championship in Saskatoon on August 5th and 6th.
Just last week Revell also placed amongst the top four competitors at the Ontario Amateur Championship. By finishing in the top four in that event he qualified to represent the province at the Inter-Provincial Championship in Edmunston, New Brunswick on August 12th and 13th. These two events are run concurrently with the Canadian Junior and Amateur Championships respectively.
Scott and Wheeler wound up the tourney tied for third place. The 18-year-old Scott had a share of the tournament lead after round two; he played the final 36 holes at four-over par while Revell got around in five-under par.
