Ryley Webb Takes Lead at Ontario Ladies Championship

The 23-year-old South Muskoka Golf & Country Club member needed only two birdies, fifteen pars and a bogey to climb into top spot.
First round leader - Kathryn Williams of Cambridge shot a three-over 76 to drop to third place, two shots back of Webb.
2001 Ontario Ladies Match Play Champion- Cuyler Hedley of Cobourg fired a two-under 71 today and jumped four spots into sole possession of second place.
Defending Champion - Jessica Shepley of Oakville made a second round charge, moving up 14 spots into tenth place. The 19-year-old opened the tourney with a five-over 78; she rebounded with an even par 73 today.
The Golf Association of Ontario is divided into 14 Districts, each District is represented by four players competing for Low Gross and Net honours. The Peterborough District, consisting of Cuyler Hedley, Mary Millage, Shana Heise and MaryEllen Bannon captured the Low Net title while York District, made up of Judith Kyrinis, Lindsay Knowlton, Carolyn Dushenski and Susan Wickware took home Low Gross honours.
The field of 120 competitors was cut to the low 54 players and ties. A score of 166 for 36 holes was required to advance to tomorrow's final round.
