The Canadian Tour Division's 10th-ranked duo fell 2 and 1 to the QPGA's top-ranked team of Pete Bousquet and Jean Louis Lamarre at Le Manoir Richelieu GC. With the win, Bousquet and Lamarre take home the $20,000 winner's cheque, while Massey and Bock earn $16,000.
The QPGA Division winners were quick out of the chute Saturday, building a four-shot cushion after five holes. They maintained the four-shot lead through eleven holes before Bock and Massey put on a late charge that fell just short.
"We played well all week, but today just wasn't our day," said Massey. "They had a great start, while we had a slow start. It's tough to fall behind four shots, especially against good players like that. The putts just wouldn't fall for us, and that was the difference today. We tried to put the pressure on them, but it just wasn't meant to be."
Last season, Bousquet and Lamarre lost the final in a playoff to Canadians Drew Symons and Darren Griff.
