Richard Zokol Undergoes Foot Surgery

Doctors assess the dysfunction as the root to his year-long battle with knee, hip, and back spasms that ignite when playing golf. Doctor's were surprised by the severity of the deterioration and that he was able to play through the discomfort up to this point.
Zokol will receive a Minor Medical Extension from the PGA Tour that will allow him entry into 5-6 events at the beginning of the 2003 PGA Tour schedule. An aggressive physiotherapy program is targeted so that he will be fully recovered in time for the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in early November.
His progress will be closely monitored in order to assess the results of this minor (Cheilectomy) surgery.
