The Canadian contingent of Lee Curry of Ottawa, Dan Swanson of Surrey, B.C., and James Lepp of Abbotsford, B.C. improved over their opening two rounds, firing a team total 2-over-par 146 on the day for a three-day total of 450.
Once again Lepp had a strong round, finishing one-over par 73. Swanson made par on 15 of his holes, but a double on No. 5 and bogeys on Nos. 6 and 14 brought his total to four-over par 76. Curry, who struggled mightily in the opening rounds, found his swing for a one-over par 73 that included four birdies.
Shooting five-under par on the day, France moved into the lead at seven-under par, a three-stroke advantage over the United States. Australia sits alone in third at even par heading into tomorrow's final round.
