The Canadian contingent of Lee Curry of Ottawa, Dan Swanson of Surrey, B.C., and James Lepp of Abbotsford, B.C. fired a team total 3-over-par 147 on the day for a two-day total of 304, 18 shots off the lead. The Canucks all shot better rounds Friday to improve eight spots on the team's opening-round 42nd place finish.

The United States, which held a five-stroke lead after opening-round action, faltered a bit Friday and now sit tied for the lead with France at two-under-par 286. Argentina sits alone in third three shots off the lead while Austria and England are tied for fourth at 290.
