Matt McQuillan and Jon Mills made some big moves on the second to last day of PGA Tour Q-School qualifying while Chris Baryla found himself sliding down the leaderboard.

McQuillan of Kingston, Ont., came up with his best effort of the week, a 5-under 66 on the Panther Lake course on Sunday. Seven birdies and two bogeys saw him move up 24 spots and into a tie for 16th. If he can maintain that place for one more day, he will secure his 2011 PGA Tour playing card.

Chris Baryla had his worst day of the week, also playing the Panther Lake course, shooting 74 and dropping him into a tie for 36th after starting the day tied for 14th. Over the course of the week, the Vernon, B.C. native has yet to break par on the Panther Lake course.

Jon Mills of Belleville, Ont., picked the opportune time for his first sub-70 round of the week, shooting 67 on the Crooked Cat course. After a bogey on No. 2, Mills reeled off five birdies to go out in 32, adding another birdie on the back nine to vault 40 places into a tie for 52nd. Currently that is just five shots outside of the top 25 cut line.

Richard T. Lee also came up with his best round of the week, a 67 on the Crooked Cat course to move him up 39 places into a tie for 61st. For the second straight day the Vancouver golfer eagled the par-5 first hole and added five more birdies before a double-bogey on No. 18 left him 5-under for the round.

Matthew Richardson of Woodbridge, Ont. shot 72 to drop him down into a tie for 95th. He will need to likely find five shots on Monday to get into the top 50 which will give him status on the Nationwide Tour next year.

Ted Brown of Peterborough, Ont. climbed four places into a tie for 124th after a round of 70 while David McKenzie of Victoria, B.C. slipped down into a tie for 137th with an even par round of 72.

Billy Mayfair, who has won five times on the PGA Tour - but not since 1998, is in a two way tie with Ben Martin at 16-under par.

The final round of Q-School is set for Monday with the top 25 and ties earning their PGA Tour card. The next number up to 50 will get full status on the Nationwide Tour while everyone else will have conditional status on the developmental tour.
