The 2001 Nedbank Golf Challenge has again attracted a field of the highest caliber, and a dozen of the world's best professional golfers will be delaying their holiday plans to compete for the coveted Crystal Trophy. 11 of the players in this year's field are ranked in the world's top-20.
"I am looking forward to going there since I have never been to South Africa. With a limited field of only 12 players I am anticipating a pretty casual week. From what I have heard from the players that have participated in previous Nedbank Challenges, the golf course and surrounding area is spectacular. Both Ian and I played really well at the World Cup in Japan and would like to continue that trend of playing well to finish off my 2001 season on a positive note."
