After beginning the day a mere four strokes behind the leader, Mike struggled to a disappointing 5-over par 77. After a birdie on the 2nd hole, he moved to within two strokes of the lead, but then a string of bogies took him out of contention and he finished tied for 17th.

It was a day when nearly all the golfers struggled (only 10 of the 70 golfers finished the round under par), but felt Mike played a good game. He made some excellent shots and had plenty of birdie opportunities. Unfortunately, the six and seven foot putts that had dropped for him earlier in the tournament just wouldn’t fall.

Although disappointed with his finish, Mike refuses to let it bring him down. He can’t wait to get started at the Masters, the first Major tournament of the season.
