Mike Weir All Star Challenge

What a great week! Over the past two days, we were able to raise a lot of money for some very deserving children’s charities while enjoying two of my favourite golf courses in Ontario, Taboo in Gravenhurst and Huron Oaks in my hometown of Sarnia.

Thanks to the tremendous support of so many fans, celebrities and corporate partners over the past two days, I’m pleased to be able to say that we were able to raise over $ 350,000 for the Mike Weir Foundation, benefiting children’s charities in Canada.

The highlight of the week was today’s Mike Weir All-Star Challenge at Huron Oaks, featuring hockey greats Wayne Gretzky, Adam Oates and Dino Ciccarelli. While the golf and the company on the course were great, unfortunately the weather was not, and it cut short the action on the course today. We hosted an impromptu autograph session to meet the fans face to face, but due to the huge crowd, we weren’t able to get to everyone. We hope everyone has dried off and had a great time!

While days like these are fun, it’s important to remember the real reason why we do it, and that is to help some very important children.
